Our creative projects risk getting dumped the moment the going gets tough. Had author Emanuel Culman (my Dad!) realized that his debut novel in his Dreamers Trilogy would take 18 years to finish, he wouldn’t have bothered to start it. But the triumph of having published Dreamers has inspired Emanuel, aged 70 and working with severe Parkinson’s, to start writing four new books.
